The author: Kathy Richardson

Kathy Richardson wrote a column titled, ‘Life Lines’, for Central Wisconsin (Wood County) Buyer’s Guide from June of 1990 to September of 2015.  A new entry will be posted each Wednesday morning at 06:00 am.

Come visit Kathy’s world each week. She will share her life in the Mid West as a child growing up on a farm, as a young married woman, raising children, enjoying grandchildren and going on vacations.

Author’s husband:      Arnie and Kathy met when they were eighteen. They fell madly in love and were married nine months later on April 18th, 1970. Arnie died suddenly and unexpectedly on April 2, 2007.

Their Children: Christy, Niki and Tammie

Christy was born shortly before their first wedding anniversary. She had a birth defect and died at two months of age on April 2, 1971.

Niki was born eight years later. She is married and raising a large family.

Tammie was born four years after Niki. Like Christy, she was born with TAR syndrome which involves having thrombocytopenia, a blood disorder, and missing forearm bones. She needed knee surgery to walk. Tammie is a librarian and a world traveler.

Brothers and sisters: The author is  the youngest of seven children. The author’s husband is the eldest of eleven. Their brothers and sisters are often mentioned in the columns.
